Zach Dissington
I help independent dental practices stop losing revenue they can't see: empty chairs from no-shows, cancellations nobody backfills, new-patient calls that go to voicemail, and treatment that was accepted but never booked. I run that patient-facing work and recover the revenue leaking through the cracks, using the schedule and patient data the practice already owns.
Before this I spent years at Epic Systems leading multi-million-dollar EHR implementations, so healthcare workflows are home turf. The same back-office systems (intake, scheduling, CRM, and the integrations that tie them together) work for other small businesses with the same problems.
I also work as an independent climate researcher, publishing open, facility-resolved datasets and honest negative results for the atmospheric-science and earth-observation communities. The research and open-source work below is that output.
Research & open source
Independent research and open-source tools, including reproductions and honest negative results published openly so others can build on them or disprove them.
-
An open spatial prior for CF4 (PFC-14) from primary-aluminium smelting, built for atmospheric inversions. Published open-access on Zenodo under CC-BY-4.0.
-
A reproducible negative result for the F-gas inversion community: a cooling-demand-weighted refrigerant-bank prior does not improve on the population proxy for HFC-134a. Published open-access on Zenodo under CC-BY-4.0.
-
The spatial-prior method behind that work, with kill-tests across five greenhouse gases and a methodology playbook. MIT-licensed.
-
Can free Sentinel-1 InSAR independently audit infrastructure-safety records? Reproductions of the Brumadinho tailings-dam and Pajaro levee cases, both negative or inconclusive. Code MIT, writeups CC-BY-4.0 on Zenodo.
-
Does the autocracy GDP over-reporting gradient (Martinez 2022) reproduce on the VIIRS night-lights era? It does not. A reproducible null result. Code MIT, writeups CC-BY-4.0 on Zenodo.
-
Is there a foundable solo wedge in the orbital independent-attribution layer? Nine candidates assessed against a CF4-style test; all NO-GO, with the structural reason. CC-BY-4.0 on Zenodo.
